Meeting Description
In 2013 the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) provided “Guidance on a New Approach to Managing Email Records,” known as Capstone. Meant to help federal agencies simplify the electronic management of the huge bulk of emails they produce, records retention in this model is based on the role of record creators, with permanent value placed on the messages of specific staff, while other accounts are considered temporary.
How successful has Capstone been? Is this an approach that would work for your institution? Bring your questions to ARMA Seattle’s January meeting and hear Jeff Benson share his experiences with the Capstone model.
